Vibrant Red Flowers You Can Eat!
Having a wedding with red as one of your wedding colors? Then you are sure to swoon over these sweet (literally!) red poppies, made by SweetDeJaVu on etsy. These edible wedding cupcake decorations will look lovely atop your wedding cupcake display.
No need to place a red flower on every cupcake, instead think about accenting only a few on top of white frosted cupcakes. Keep the other cupcakes plain with red frosting.
Wedding Cupcakes Causing the Death of the Wedding Cake?
Well we suppose it was only a matter of time until it was announced that traditional wedding cakes are officially on the way out. Wedding expert, Cara Davis, has included “Death of the Wedding Cake” in her top eight wedding trends for 2011. Citing wedding cupcakes as a major reason for decline of wedding cakes, Cara also attributes dessert buffets as a contributing factor. Personally, here at wedding-cupcakes.org, we love that Cara has officially announced the Death of the Wedding Cake because it takes a significant chip out of what once was the impenetrable wall of proper wedding etiquette: that wedding cakes were the only suitable dessert for a wedding.
With more wedding experts admitting that brides can serve alternative desserts like wedding cupcakes, modern brides are further liberated to choose the wedding dessert that best fits their taste, style and budget. And if a wedding cake doesnt fit the bill, now brides can choose wedding cupcakes without worrying about breaching etiquette.
What do you think about the death of the wedding cake? Sad to see it go? Or happy to have other choices like wedding cupcakes?
